A growing mortgage brokerage is seeking an experienced Mortgage & Protection Broker to join its team in Bloxwich.

Based within an established estate agency environment, you will provide specialist mortgage and protection advice to customers referred through the branch.

This is a client-facing role offering access to a regular pipeline of warm leads, supported by an experienced administration team. The structure allows you to concentrate on providing quality advice, building relationships and converting referred opportunities rather than spending your time cold calling or chasing new business.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver whole-of-market mortgage advice tailored to individual customer circumstances.
• Research and recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.
• Provide advice on life insurance, critical illness and income protection.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and professional introducers.
• Manage applications proactively from recommendation through to completion.
• Liaise with administration colleagues and lenders to ensure cases progress efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and an organised sales pipeline.
• Operate in accordance with regulatory, compliance and company requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of mortgage products, lender criteria and protection solutions.
• Attend relevant training and professional development sessions.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the continued development of the business.

Experience & Qualifications

• CeMAP qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in mortgage and protection advice.
• Good technical understanding of residential mortgages and protection products.
• Experience with mortgage sourcing and research software.
• Strong communication, presentation and listening skills.
• Confident dealing with customers face-to-face, by telephone and via video.
• Proven ability to deliver a high standard of customer service.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, eight hours per day.
• Two later starts or finishes each week.
• Alternate Saturday working, with a weekday off in return.
• No Sunday working.
