Stonebridge achieves largest level of AR growth in 2023

Data published by Mortgage Strategy has revealed that Stonebridge achieved the largest level of AR growth, in real terms, of all UK mortgage and protection networks in 2023.

The study, conducted by Network Consulting, is based on the FCA definition of a network, which outlines that to be classed as a network, a principal firm:

  • has five or more appointed representatives (not counting introducer appointed representatives); or
  • whose appointed representatives, not counting introducer appointed representatives (and being fewer than five) have, between them, 26 or more representatives.

In a year dominated by a seismic regulatory shift in the form of Consumer Duty and an ever-changing rate environment, we added 42 ARs to our network when compared to 2022. The highest in real terms amongst the outright mortgage and protection networks in the UK.

Rob Clifford, our Chief Executive commented on the outcome of the latest data produced, “We are obviously delighted to see that Stonebridge, yet again, achieved the largest growth of ARs, in real terms, of the mortgage and protection networks in 2023.

“Not only is this result a testament to our strategy of partnering with the right firms, but it is also a testament to our proposition and to the people across the business who work incredibly hard to deliver it.

“However, we won’t be resting on our laurels. We will continue to invest in both our technology and people to ensure carefully managed growth of the network, whilst we continue to provide the support our existing AR partners need to thrive in 2024 and beyond.”
