Stonebridge, the national mortgage and protection network, has appointed a second highly regarded National Recruitment Manager in as many months. Stevie Berry, the latest addition to the recruitment team, will work alongside fellow National Recruitment Manager, Oliver Couchman, who joined in July.

Stevie Berry, National Recruitment Manager

Berry, a former mortgage broker, joins from Openwork where she was Partnership Recruitment Manager, focusing on the growth of existing firms and AR recruitment across mortgages and wealth. Prior to that, she was Sales Manager at Embrace, the largest AR firm under Primis.

Her appointment, alongside Couchman’s in July and Daniel Darby, who joined as Protection Account Manager in June, is further evidence of Stonebridge’s ongoing commitment to investing in highly experienced people to provide market-leading service to its member firms. A commitment exemplified by the business’ recently launched Partner Adviser Recruitment Team, a dedicated resource for supporting the adviser recruitment for individual AR firms.

Recent independent industry research also highlighted that Stonebridge saw the largest number of ARs join the network in the first half of 2024 than any other pure mortgage and protection network in the UK.

Lesley Sharkey, Recruitment and Growth Director at Stonebridge, said:

“The fact that time, after time, after time the very best talent in our sector chooses Stonebridge speaks volumes for our culture, our focus on our member firms, and our strategic vision. We are seriously investing in our controlled growth. I am delighted to welcome Stevie to the team, she brings so much to the table, and she is in great company.”

Commenting on her move to Stonebridge, Berry said:

“The proposition is straightforward, transparent and fair to brokers, which is a boon to brokers starting their own business. It’s commercially more attractive than other networks, provides exceptional support, and a market-leading software platform. It’s no surprise that it’s the fastest-growing network in the UK, and I’m thrilled that I will be contributing to that growth.”
